Ada's Sisters hosted by Angela Misri & Eden Spodek
This summer has been a time for renewal – I’ve been working on exciting changes for the business and creating new things. Angela Misri mentioned she had an idea she wanted to run by me. She shared her idea for a new podcast with two women co-hosts: us! How could I refuse? After much planning and some flying by the seat of our pants, Ada’s Sisters was born.

Why Ada’s Sisters?

Ada’s Sisters is our homage to the first computer programmer – Ada King, the Countess of Lovelace  – aka Ada Lovelace – who lived in the mid-1800s. She was a close friend of Charles Babbage and wrote algorithms for his counting machine.

An impressive woman who helped open the code up to humans with two X chromosomes, we’ve followed in her footsteps professionally, and through this podcast, hope to add to the conversation about the field she dedicated her life to.

What’s Ada’s Sisters about?

It’s a new weekly podcast about technology and digital culture. There’s been a lack of women’s voices in the tech and digital space and we wanted to help change that. Please have a listen to Episode 1: #curvee, Gamergate update & vocal fry. You can check out our website for show notes and a detailed transcript. If you like what you hear, please subscribe to us on iTunes and/or catch us in other places around the web.

We want to hear from you!

Do you have a great story idea you’d like to hear on the podcast? Are you a part of a digital initiative you think we should know about? Share your ideas for the Ada’s Sisters Podcast and we’ll give you full credit if we use it in an episode and/or invite you for an interview.
