Facebook’s Community Standards content rulebook is released to the public
What’s a Weekly Download without a Facebook mention, right? And this one is positive! For the first time, Facebook has opened its Community Standards content rulebook to the public. The goal? To clear up any confusion about what content is and isn’t allowed on the site.
The previous general community standards statements have been replaced with a much more comprehensive and detailed document. Facebook says the move will hopefully encourage expression in a safe environment. The standards are formed with three base guidelines in mind: safety, voice, and equity.
Check out the newly released Community Standards for yourself. What would you add to the content rulebook?
Snapchat launches Spectacles V2
Snapchat has released Spectacles V2 – their new and improved model of wearable camera rings in at $150 USD.
So what does V2 have that V1 didn’t offer? They’re underwater capable, have faster syncing, come with prescription options, classier colourways and don’t display a yellow ring alerting people to camera use. Plus, the newest model will allow you to take not just videos, but photos, too.
Spectacles are only available online this time around. So what’s your verdict? Novelty item or another handy tool to help with content creation?
