Happy reading!

YouTube Launches “Search Insights” for Creators

Influencers and creators are becoming vital to marketing campaigns and brand growth. With social media and influencer marketing growing at a rapid speed, it is not surprising that YouTube is launching a feature that caters to creators.

The new Search Insights feature has been curated to help the growth and success of content creation. The feature will offer a range of new data points to help refine YouTube strategies, including search information, so creators can gain a better understanding of what people are looking for in the app.

Creators can use this feature to pinpoint content that serves their audience, appeal to new demographics, and seek potential new spaces and genres for growth.

Pinterest Announces Partnership with WooCommerce

Pinterest has announced a new partnership with the ecommerce platform WooCommerce. This will allow merchants who use WooCommerce to convert their product catalogs into shoppable pins on Pinterest. This is a game-changer for ecommerce brands, and those that use its full potential can generate revenue through a new channel.

Pinterest is used to browse, discover, and engage. The platform already has brand authority and trust, and is growing quarter over quarter. So the confidence users already have in Pinterest will contribute to a brand’s purchase flow.

This partnership will include multiple Pinterest shopping features including tag deployment, catalog ingestion, and ad campaign integration. Merchants who use WooCommerce will also be given beta access to Pinterest API v5, which will provide options for building shopping experiences that can be viewed outside of the app.

If you have an ecommerce brand, start preparing now to make all of your products shoppable pins! Get in touch, we’re happy to help.

Instagram Tests Changes to Hashtag Search

Instagram has shared on its communications Twitter account that it is doing tests within its hashtag search fields.

For a small group of users, the platform is removing the “Recent” tab within hashtags. From this test, Instagram wants to see if this helps users connect with content that is “more interesting and relevant” to the hashtags.

This update could be alarming for creators and small businesses that use branded hashtags, contest hashtags, trend hashtags, or industry hashtags for brand awareness. We can assume that this test is another move in the direction of increasing emphasis on Reels. But if users are only able to search certain aspects of a hashtag, this could be a step toward abolishing them altogether. What could be introduced next?

TikTok Adds Interactive Ad Features

Interactive Add-Ons are now available globally for TikTok advertisers. The new interactive ads offer businesses a unique way to engage viewers, with popups, stickers, and other visual add-ons.

TikTok has shared that viewers who have shared, liked, or commented on a TikTok brand video are 150% more likely to buy a product or service. With the new interactive add-ons, ads become more eye-catching and easier to engage with.

This new feature can be compared to Instagram stickers within Instagram stories.
