Apple Unveils New “Shot on iPhone” Video for Chinese New Year
In celebration of Chinese New Year, Apple shared their latest installment in the “Shot on iPhone” series.

Daughter is a short film – roughly eight minutes in length – about three generations of Chinese women coming together at Chinese New Year.

The 2020 Edelman Trust Barometer Reveals Distrust
Global communications firm Edelman has released the findings of its most recent Trust Barometer report, and the results have surprised many.
The report found widespread distrust in societal institutions — defined as government, business, NGOs and the media — despite a strong global economy, a phenomenon referred to as a “trust paradox” by the company.
According to Edelman, “the cause of this paradox can be found in people’s fears about the future and their role in it, which are a wake-up call for our institutions to embrace a new way of effectively building trust: balancing competence with ethical behavior.”
This was the first time in the history of the report that Edelman polled people on their trust in core institutions.

Instagram Removes IGTV Button from Home Screens
Instagram is saying goodbye to the IGTV button that used to be found at the top of your homescreen.
Why? People just weren’t using it, according to a report from TechCrunch.
If you’re a frequent IGTV watcher, there’s no need to panic. You’ll still be able to see IGTV content in your feed and in the profile of any user who’s developed IGTV videos.
Tinder To Add a “Panic Button” as a Safety Feature
Tinder is making it easier for people to get help in the event they feel unsafe on a date with someone they met online. The new features will allow users to easily share information about dates ahead of time and alert the authorities if they need help or are in danger.
The company has partnered with Noonlight, a safety app that tracks people’s location and sends the information to emergency services in the event an alarm on the app is triggered.
According to a Tinder press release, the new functionality will be available beginning January 28. Once a Tinder user opts into Noonlight, they have the option to add a badge to their profile.
